Usage Note

Préjugé literally means a pre-judgment. Avoir des préjugés contre means to be prejudiced against someone. The adjective sans préjugés (without prejudice, open-minded) is common. Do not confuse with préjudice (m), which means harm or legal damage — a false cognate trap for English speakers.
