Origin: Latin tangibilis (that can be touched)

Usage Note

Tangible is invariable in gender (same form for masculine and feminine). It is used to contrast something concrete and real with something abstract or illusory, as in des résultats tangibles ('tangible results'). The adverb tangiblement exists but is rare; concrètement is preferred in speech.
