Usage Note
Réincarnation is used both in its religious/spiritual sense (the soul's rebirth in a new body, central to Hindu and Buddhist belief) and colloquially in French to describe a striking resemblance to or revival of something past — c'est la réincarnation de son père (he's the spitting image of his father). The verb is se réincarner (to be reincarnated).
Examples
"Il croit en la réincarnation de l'âme."
Natural Translation
He believes in the reincarnation of the soul.
