Psychologiquement is used in medical, journalistic, and everyday speech to qualify the mental or emotional dimension of a situation: psychologiquement épuisant ('psychologically draining'). It is derived from the adjective psychologique. In formal writing it often appears alongside physiquement to cover both bodily and mental aspects.
