Neveux is the plural of neveu (nephew); the singular ends in '-eu', which takes '-x' in the plural following the standard pattern for '-eau'/'-eu' nouns. The feminine counterpart is nièce / nièces (niece). In older French, neveu could also mean 'grandson'.
