Also means
unskilled worker
Usage Note
Manoeuvre (also spelled manœuvre) has two main senses: a tactical or physical movement (une manœuvre militaire, une manœuvre de stationnement) and, as a masculine noun, an unskilled manual labourer (un manœuvre). The gender shifts with the sense: the tactical sense is feminine (une manœuvre), the labourer masculine (un manœuvre). The verb manœuvrer means to manoeuvre.
