Usage Note
Fiston is an affectionate, colloquial term for 'son' or 'boy', roughly equivalent to English 'sonny' or 'lad'. It is informal and warmer than the standard fils. You would not use it in writing or formal speech. Alors, fiston? is a casual way of saying 'So, son, how are things?'
Examples
