Also means
show up, arrive (informal)
Usage Note
Débarquer literally means to get off a ship or plane, but in informal speech it is very commonly used for someone who shows up unexpectedly — il a débarqué chez moi sans prévenir (he turned up at my place without warning). The opposite is embarquer (to board, to embark). The noun débarquement refers to the act of landing, notably the D-Day landings (le Débarquement).
Examples
"Les touristes ont débarqué du bateau."
Natural Translation
The tourists disembarked from the boat.
