Usage Note
Bluff is borrowed directly from English and is used in poker as well as everyday contexts for a false show of confidence (c'est du bluff, 'it's all a bluff'). The verb bluffer means 'to bluff someone'. In French the final 'f' is pronounced, unlike in some English accents.
