volontiers

gladly, willingly

adverb voh-lohn-TYEH Less Common

Usage Note

Volontiers is the natural French answer to 'would you like some?' — it maps to 'I'd love to' or 'with pleasure'. Unlike volontairement ('intentionally'), it carries no sense of deliberate choice, only enthusiasm. It is slightly more formal than avec plaisir but entirely common in everyday speech.

Examples

"Je viendrais volontiers avec toi."

Natural Translation

I would gladly come with you.
