Usage Note
Terrifié is the past participle of terrifier used as an adjective, and it agrees in gender and number: terrifiée (f.), terrifiés (m. pl.). It expresses extreme fright. Note that terrifiant means 'terrifying' (causing fear), while terrifié describes the state of the person experiencing it. A near-synonym is épouvanté.
