Superstitieux describes a person or behaviour driven by superstition (une croyance superstitieuse). The feminine form is superstitieuse. The corresponding noun is la superstition. Common superstitions in France include the number 13 being lucky (unlike in many Anglo cultures) and spilling salt as a bad omen.
