Simple is identical in masculine and feminine forms, which makes it easier to use than many French adjectives. The adverb simplement (simply) and the noun la simplicité (simplicity) derive from it. In informal speech, 'c'est simple' often means 'it's easy' rather than 'it's uncomplicated'.
