Usage Note
Richard is an informal, slightly derogatory word for a very wealthy person, similar to English 'moneybags', and is also used loosely as an adjective meaning 'loaded'. The feminine form is richarde. It carries a sense of excess or ostentation that the neutral riche does not, and is unrelated to the proper name Richard.
Examples
"Son voisin est complètement richard, il a trois voitures."
Natural Translation
His neighbour is absolutely loaded — he has three cars.
