Usage Note

Rendez-vous is borrowed directly into English and many other languages. It is always spelled with a hyphen and never changes in the plural. Prendre rendez-vous means to make an appointment (with a doctor, hairdresser, etc.). Donner rendez-vous à quelqu'un means to arrange to meet someone at a specific time and place.
