Also means
to benefit from
Usage Note
Profiter is most commonly used with de — profiter de means 'to make the most of' or 'to take advantage of' something (an opportunity, the weather, one's youth). It is not inherently negative; profite bien de tes vacances! means 'enjoy your holidays!'. When it is exploitative, context makes it clear. The noun is profit or bénéfice.
