Pro is an informal clipped form of professionnel(le) used as both noun and invariable adjective: c'est vraiment pro (that's really professional). It can also appear in compound adjectives like pro-européen (pro-European), where it is a Latin prefix rather than the slang clipping. In sport and work contexts the informal sense is very common.
