Usage Note

Préoccupé describes a state of mental concern or worry that has taken hold of someone's attention. The feminine form is préoccupée. The reflexive verb se préoccuper de means 'to concern oneself with' or 'to worry about', as in il se préoccupe de sa santé (he worries about his health).
