Usage Note
Pool is an English loanword used in French business and organisational contexts. Un pool de secrétaires is a typing pool; un pool bancaire is a banking consortium. It is more restricted than in English — French does not use pool for a swimming pool (that is une piscine). The word is masculine and invariable in plural.
