Overdose is an anglicism used directly in French, primarily in medical and journalistic contexts. Faire une overdose means 'to overdose'. The abbreviation OD is also used informally. Colloquially, une overdose de quelque chose means 'too much of something': j'ai une overdose de réunions ('I'm overwhelmed with meetings').
