Usage Note
Oeuvre is feminine (une oeuvre) when it means an artistic work, and masculine (le gros oeuvre) in construction (the structural shell of a building). L'oeuvre of an artist refers to their entire body of work. The phrase mettre en oeuvre means 'to implement' or 'to put into practice' — very common in formal writing.
Examples
