Usage Note
nordique is invariable in gender (same masculine and feminine form) but takes a plural '-s'. It covers all things Scandinavian or far-northern — les langues nordiques, la marche nordique (Nordic walking). In French, Nordique (capital) can also be used as a noun for a Nordic person. Do not confuse with du Nord which simply means 'northern'.
Examples
"Il pratique le ski nordique chaque hiver."
Natural Translation
He does Nordic skiing every winter.
