Majestueux conveys grandeur and impressive dignity, applied to landscapes, buildings, animals, or people. The feminine form is majestueuse. The related noun majesté appears in the formal address Sa Majesté ('His/Her Majesty') and in the fixed legal phrase crime de lèse-majesté (an offence against the dignity of the crown or state).
