Usage Note
Mail is the informal borrowing from English; the officially recommended French term is courriel (from courrier électronique), but mail or e-mail are far more common in everyday and professional speech. The verb mailer (to email someone) exists informally. Boîte mail means email inbox.
Examples
"Elle m'a envoyé un mail ce matin."
