Usage Note
Macabre keeps the same form in the masculine and feminine (it already ends in -e), but takes -s in the plural like a regular adjective (des scènes macabres). It describes anything morbidly associated with death, from humour (humour macabre) to imagery or scenes.
Examples
"Il a un humour assez macabre."
Natural Translation
He has quite a macabre sense of humour.
