Usage Note

Là-dedans is a compound adverb combining (there) and dedans (inside), used to point to the interior of a space just mentioned. It is more emphatic and colloquial than simply dedans. It can also be used figuratively, as in je ne comprends rien là-dedans (I don't understand anything about that).
