Usage Note
Intrépide describes someone who faces danger without fear and has a slightly literary or heroic tone. It does not inflect differently for masculine and feminine — un héros intrépide and une exploratrice intrépide both work. The adverb is intrépidement and the noun is intrépidité (f).
