Usage Note
Frangin is a colloquial, affectionate term for brother; the female equivalent is frangine (sister). It is very informal and mostly oral — you would use it with friends but not in formal writing. The standard word is frère. The pair frangines et frangins is sometimes used for siblings collectively.
