Usage Note
Forme is used in many fixed expressions: en forme means in good shape or feeling well, while en bonne et due forme ('in proper form') is a legal phrase. La forme can also refer to literary or artistic form as opposed to content (le fond et la forme). Asking tu es en forme ? is an everyday greeting equivalent to 'how are you feeling?'
