Usage Note

Charger means to load a vehicle or weapon, to charge a battery, or to task someone with a duty: il est chargé de la communication ('he is in charge of communications'). The reflexive se charger de means to take care of or handle something: je m'en charge ('I'll handle it'). Note the spelling change: nous chargeons retains the e before -ons.
