Cash is an English loanword used in French as an invariable adverb: payer cash means to pay in cash. It can also function informally as an adjective: avoir de l'argent cash. The equivalent formal French expression is en espèces ('in cash'). Cash in French has a slightly informal register compared to en espèces.
