Assez intensifies adjectives or adverbs with the sense of 'fairly' or 'rather': c'est assez difficile means 'it is quite difficult.' Followed by de, it means a sufficient quantity: assez de temps (enough time). The phrase j'en ai assez! means 'I have had enough!' and is a very common expression of exasperation.
