Usage Note
Angoisser is used both transitively (ce film m'angoisse — 'this film makes me anxious') and reflexively (s'angoisser — 'to get worked up'). The related noun l'angoisse (feminine) means existential dread or anguish. In everyday speech, s'angoisser pour rien ('to stress over nothing') is very common.
