Usage Note
Théâtral describes both what literally relates to the theatre (une saison théâtrale) and behaviour that is exaggeratedly dramatic or stagey. The plural masculine is théâtraux and the feminine théâtrale/théâtrales. The adverb théâtralement is used when commenting on someone's over-the-top manner.
