Usage Note
Teint refers specifically to the colour and appearance of a person's face or skin, as in avoir le teint pâle ('to have a pale complexion'). The related adjective teint also means 'dyed' (from teindre), so context is important. The compound fond de teint is the French word for foundation makeup.
Examples
"Elle a le teint frais ce matin."
Natural Translation
She has a fresh complexion this morning.
