Usage Note
Sécher literally means to dry something or to dry out. In student slang it also means to skip a class: sécher un cours is very common in French schools and universities. Reflexively, se sécher means to dry oneself off. It is an -er verb with a spelling change: the accent shifts (sèche, séchez).
