Usage Note
Soigné describes a person who is neatly and carefully turned out, or work that has been executed with great care and attention to detail. The feminine form is soignée. It derives from the verb soigner (to care for, to treat). A travail soigné (carefully done piece of work) is a common compliment in professional contexts.
