Usage Note
Ringard is informal French for something or someone embarrassingly out of date or unsophisticated — c'est ringard means 'that's so lame'. The feminine is ringarde; as a noun un ringard means a has-been or hack. It carries a stronger social judgment than simply démodé (old-fashioned).
Examples
"Cette chanson est vraiment ringarde."
