Remplacer takes par when specifying the replacement: remplacer X par Y ('to replace X with Y'). The noun un remplaçant / une remplaçante means a substitute or stand-in, common in teaching and sports. Unlike English, you say il m'a remplacé ('he replaced me'), never il a remplacé moi.
