Usage Note
Remords always ends in -s, even in the singular — un remords, des remords — so the form never changes. It expresses a deep sense of guilt over a past action. Avoir des remords is the standard construction ('to feel remorse'). The related verb is remordre (to bite again), from its Latin root, but the figurative noun stands alone.
Examples
"Il ressent de vifs remords."
Natural Translation
He feels sharp remorse.
