Usage Note

Recoucher means to put someone (typically a child) back to bed, or as se recoucher, to go back to bed oneself. Je vais me recoucher is a common expression after waking too early. It is a regular -er verb formed with the prefix re- on coucher (to put to bed / to lie down).
