Usage Note
Ramassis is a pejorative collective noun for a disorganised, worthless assortment of people or things — often used with de: un ramassis d'idiots (a bunch of idiots). It is invariable in spelling (the final 's' is always present). The word is informal and always carries a contemptuous tone.
