Rabbin is the French form of 'rabbi', the title for a Jewish religious leader and teacher. France has one of the largest Jewish communities in Europe, and the Grand Rabbin de France is a nationally recognized religious authority. The form le rabbin is masculine; a woman rabbi is la rabbine in contemporary usage.
