Usage Note
Résignation describes the inner state of accepting something difficult or unpleasant without protest. Avec résignation (with resignation) is a common adverbial phrase. The verb se résigner à means to resign oneself to doing something. Unlike English 'resignation' from a job, that sense in French is démission.
