Usage Note

Quasiment is an informal synonym of presque (almost) and is very common in spoken French. It is slightly more emphatic and colloquial than presque. You will hear it frequently in everyday conversation: c'est quasiment terminé (it's almost done). In formal writing, presque or pratiquement are preferred.
