Poussette primarily means a baby pushchair or stroller (poussette d'enfant), but it also refers to a small wheeled shopping trolley used at markets. It derives from pousser (to push). In Quebec, poussette refers exclusively to a baby carriage, while the shopping cart sense is less common there.
