Usage Note
Oranger refers specifically to the tree, while orange is the fruit. The fragrant white blossoms of the orange tree, la fleur d'oranger, are traditionally used in French wedding ceremonies and in flavouring pastries and eau de fleur d'oranger (orange blossom water). Do not confuse with orangeraie, an orange grove.
