Usage Note

Job is an anglicism fully integrated into colloquial French, referring to a casual or part-time job — un petit job ('a little gig/side job'). It is more informal than emploi or travail. The plural is regular: des jobs. In youth registers it is very common; in formal writing, emploi is preferred.
