Also means
extraordinary
Usage Note
inouï literally means 'never heard before' and expresses something beyond normal experience — closer to 'extraordinary' or 'staggering' than simply 'strange'. The feminine form is inouïe (une vitesse inouïe — a staggering speed). It is stronger than inhabituel and carries a tone of admiring or shocked surprise.
Examples
"Il accomplit des exploits inouïs."
Natural Translation
He accomplished extraordinary feats.
