Usage Note
Information is countable in French, unlike in English: une information means a single piece of information or news, where English forces 'a piece of information'. The plural les informations (or les infos informally) is the standard term for the news broadcast.
Examples
"Les informations sont à vingt heures."
Natural Translation
The news is at eight o'clock.
